The 1905 is a common date in the Indian Head series, struck only at Philadelphia (so there is no mint mark to look for). Worn, it is usually about $1–$3; a clean Fine to Extremely Fine coin runs a few dollars more, and an uncirculated example starts around $50 in MS60. From there color is everything — an original red gem can reach the hundreds, and finest-known reds have sold for thousands.
