What's a 1999-D Delaware state quarter worth?

A circulated 1999-D Delaware quarter is worth face value. In uncirculated condition, most Mint State coins retail for under $7, MS67 pieces trade for $10–$50, and PCGS notes that coins grading MS67 or finer are genuinely scarce despite the huge mintage — so a well-preserved, mark-free example is the smart buy for a set. Denver's output of 401,424,000 was the larger of the two circulation mintages for the first state quarter.

To confirm what you have, check the obverse: the mint mark sits just right of Washington's ponytail, and a "D" means Denver. The reverse shows Caesar Rodney on horseback — his 1776 ride from Dover to Philadelphia to cast a tie-breaking vote for independence — with the caption "THE FIRST STATE." An "S" coin is a San Francisco proof; 90% silver 1999-S proof versions exist too.
