New Mexico State Quarter 2008-P
New Mexico State Quarter 2008-P
The 2008-P New Mexico State Quarter from the Philadelphia mint facility. Each coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition. The reverse of New Mexico's quarter features a Zia sun symbol over a topographical outline of the State with the inscription "Land of Enchantment." The coin also bears the inscriptions "New Mexico" and "1912."

What's a New Mexico state quarter worth?

Honest numbers: circulated 2008 New Mexico quarters are face value, brilliant uncirculated singles run $0.45–$1.15, and certified MS67 examples — the top grade PCGS has awarded this issue — list around $38, with an auction record of $150 (Greysheet, PCGS). Philadelphia struck 244.2 million.

No major variety exists (nothing like Wisconsin's Extra Leaf) — documented die breaks near the state outline carry little premium, though dramatic off-metal and missing-clad-layer errors always bring real money.

The design is the keeper: the sacred Zia Pueblo sun symbol over “Land of Enchantment.” Pair it with the 2008-D Denver strike, or browse our state quarters collection and single-quarter buying guide.

Delivered as ordered and very promptly. Sure beats calling and driving all over locally to find what I wanted. My wife will be so pleased her collection is finally complete.
