San Francisco struck 139,760,000 cents in 1919, so worn examples cost under $1, XF pieces about $7, AU around $23, and uncirculated coins $68–$134 (USA Coin Book). Like most early S-mints, though, original full-red gems are genuinely scarce — PCGS estimates only about 90 red survivors at MS65 or better, and one MS66RD brought $43,200 at auction in January 2025.

It's one of the classic “common coin, rare coin” splits in the wheat series: grade and original color are everything.
