Lincoln Wheat Backs were minted from 1909 - 1959. These coins had the great wheat penny back design until 1959, then it was changed over to the memorial reverse. There are many varieties such as the 1909 VDB cents, the steel cents during WWII, the 1982 zinc composite coins as well as the Lincoln Bi-centennial coins from 2009. The Lincoln Cent was made of 95% copper and 5% zinc and tin until 1962 with the exception of the steel cents during the war. Then the composition changed to a 95% copper and 5% zinc combination in 1962 and in 1982 it changed once again to 97.5% zinc and 2.5% copper where it remains today. The diameter of the Lincoln Cent is 19mm.
What's a wheat penny worth?
Most Lincoln wheat cents (1909–1958) are common: in worn condition they're worth about 25–50¢ each. The money is in the better dates. The 1931-S (just 866,000 struck) runs roughly $40–$500 by grade; the 1914-D ranges from about $250 to $10,000+; and the undisputed king, the 1909-S VDB (only 484,000 minted), starts around $700 even heavily worn and books near $1,350 in VF30.
To check yours: look for the mint mark under the date, and on 1909 coins look for the designer's initials "VDB" at the bottom of the reverse — a 1909-S VDB is a four-figure coin.

I received this coin and as the coin was graded it seemed that the coin was as described. I would recommend that if you're filling a collection with regular circulated coins this grade is suitable. If you want a better more readable coin, I'd suggest increasing the grade. USSQ always provides coins that are correct to the grade as indicated in their web site.
